The itinerary leaves from the Visitor Center of Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park in Succiso Nuovo, at the Holiday Farm Valle dei Cavalieri (restaurant with 6 rooms, Tel. +39 0522 892346, possibility of snowshoes and sports equipment rental).
Follow the road eastwards, with red-white trail marker (SD, Sentiero dei Ducati) and take then via Scalucchia. After 200m, near the rural buildings of the cooperative you will find the beginning of the snow-clad trail along the narrow road climbing with some hairpin bends (at the first hairpin bend, leave on the left the SD trail markers).
