The phenomenon of agritourism or agriturismi is a chance to stay on a working farm. The farm supplies produce and meat to the restaurant on premises, and usually guests have the opportunity to participate in the activities surrounding the farm. Some agritourism sites even offer self-catering apartments, while most just have guest rooms available. These "farm-stays" have been one of Italy's best-kept accommodation secrets as it allows guests to have a unique experience, accompanied with delicious and fresh foods.
