Environmental and Sustainability Education in the Park

In harmony with its own institutional aims, Appennino Tosco Emiliano National Park organizes environmental education programs planned to sensitize various age and experience groups, increasingly open to the knowledge of the natural and cultural values and of the environmental sustainability. A metaphor that well represents the whole cultural project of the Park could be a "democratic square": a place open to exchanges for the creation of new ideas and experiences on nature, art, landscape, but also on being active citizens. Thanks to the collaboration with important realities like Reggio Children and the creation of synergies with the territory, the suggested activities aim at exploring, in original and without a doubt complex ways, the issues of environmental sustainability and nature, with the creativity and curiosity of students, in a rich range of offers during the four seasons.

In the last few years the activities have been tested by thousands of children, families, educators, teachers, atelier holders and experts, also from other Countries. Furthermore, they have become part and parcel of the didactic pathways of dozens of teachers in an always growing area.
