MaB - International Workshop: Biosphere Reserves branding through high quality food products and gastronomy

The present communication is to invite you to the International Workshop "Biosphere Reserves branding through high quality food products and gastronomy" to discuss and exchange opinions on the topic of BR branding through high quality food products and their use in gastronomy. This workshop is organized by the Appennino Tosco Emiliano Biosphere Reserve - on behalf of UNESCO MaB Program - and it will be focused on high quality products not only as tasty, delicious and well-known products, but also products whose supply chain is ingrained and integrated with the landscape and the local communities.
The Workshop is going to be held in the prestigious location of  Torrechiara Castle (Langhirano - Parma) from August 30th to September 1st and it will discuss the following issues:

  • Food products of the Biosphere Reserves as guarantee of quality, supply chain, tradition
  • The relation between the landscape and agricultural production in the Biosphere Reserves
  • Gastronomy: the bond between the land products quality and the creativity and culture of the locals.
  • Gastronomy and food catering as local marketing tools for the Biosphere Reserves through their products
