The wolf in the Park: chatter and howling in the wood

A chat with experts about the wolf, and a night-time hike with demo on wolf howling

Saturday 18 November 2017

Initiative organised by: Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park

A nice evening with experts from the Wolf Appenine Center (the working group on wolves set up within Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park).

The evening begins at 5 pm at the mountain hut: the conversation is open to all comers and will be about wolves in all their aspects, their characteristics and the issues linked to their presence. After dinner, at 9 pm, those who wish will have the opportunity to go for a short hike, during which the technique of wolf howling will be demonstrated: a howl will be emitted through a megaphone, and then we will listen for some minutes in the darkness, waiting for possible answers.

Difference in elevation: 200m; duration: 2 hours without breaks; return by midnight at the latest.
